Pubs in Alexandria

Lacking Cairo’s multinational flavour, Alexandria is less of a tourist area and therefore lacks westerners and bars. Doing some research beforehand will show that there are a few bars - catering mostly for ex-pats - although they’re quite difficult to spot and have erratic opening hours. Alexandria’s role as a port is evident by the presence of military personnel and sailors, who regularly frequent the bars.
